Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Beach
A helicopter soaring over a well-attended California coastline unexpectedly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Recordings shared on social media depict the chopper commencing to spiral near the beach then descending near the edge of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palm trees and a steps near the coastal road.
First Aid Details
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were rushed to the hospital including two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the road were hurt. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.

Officials mentioned the helicopter was associated with an yearly “Cars with Copters” benefit occasion scheduled for Sunday.
